About the role

This is not a traditional marketing position—this is technical storytelling, developer advocacy, and ecosystem strategy.

You will own the developer narrative across all four Railtown products and own the motion that directly impacts adoption and community growth. You’ll translate product capabilities into clear, compelling developer stories and build a thriving ecosystem around our products.

Railtown AI is building a unified platform for modern AI-powered software development. Our products serve developers at every stage of the AI development lifecycle:

  • Conductr delivers Developer Productivity Engineering with AI-driven Root Cause Analysis
  • Railengine provides backend-as-a-service infrastructure for agent and app development
  • Railtracks is a Python framework for building production-ready agents
  • Agent Evaluations enables structured evaluation workflows for responsible AI deployment
You may be a good fit for this role if you
  • Lead Dev-first Growth: Own the developer narrative and go-to-market motion that turns product capability into adoption, community pull, and ecosystem momentum.
  • Build & Ship in Public: Create credible technical content and demos, engage developer communities, and grow awareness through consistent, high-signal output.

What you’ll do here
  • Unify Positioning: Define clear messaging across Conductr, Railengine, Railtracks, and Agent Evaluations, including competitive positioning.
  • Run Developer GTM: Design and execute a developer-first go-to-market motion across launches, onboarding, and activation.
  • Own Technical Content: Oversee and often personally produce deep technical blogs, tutorials, guides, architecture breakdowns, demos, and conference talks.
  • Scale Community & Ecosystem: Build relationships in AI, Python, and DevOps communities, and expand presence across GitHub, dev communities, and social channels.
  • Grow Open Source: Drive adoption and contributions for Railtracks, including integrations, contribution guidelines, and community governance.
  • Create the Feedback Loop: Act as the voice of the developer internally, surface onboarding friction, and influence the product roadmap to reduce time-to-value.
  • Own Metrics: Define and track developer growth and activation metrics, open source growth, and conversion signals from free to paid.

Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years in developer-facing roles such as DevRel, developer advocacy, technical product marketing, or developer platform leadership.
  • Proven experience driving exponential growth for developer platforms from the first users to 10, 100, and eventually millions through narrative, education, community-led growth, and influencer programs.
  • Strong understanding of AI tooling, including LLMs, agents, vector search, and observability concepts.
  • Ability to write code (Python/TypeScript) and deliver compelling demos.
  • Ability to produce high quality video guides with tools like OBS.
  • Experience building and leading Developer Marketing and or DevRel teams
